TVL 3G+ Network Mobile Internet Service launched on Lakatoro


The coverage of TVL’s Mobile Internet Services is slowly moving to other provinces. This week the telecommunication company celebrated another of its achievement when they launched their 3G+ Network Mobile Internet Service in Lakatoro on Malekula, which could also be accessed by surrounding villages.

Public schools have access to high-speed Internet


The island’s public schools now have access to high-speed Internet, in spite of a protest from a rival vendor.Pacific Data Systems on Wednesday said they’ve activated a 1GB wide area network service for Guam Department of Education schools. All services provided to public schools now qualify for reimbursement under the Federal E-Rate program.

Hard to control high internet cost in PNG


Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jimmy Mirintoro says, his department is unable to control high cost of internet use in the country, due to the absence of proper legislation.

Mr. Miringtoro says, his department aims to fix this loophole, by submitting a policy to Cabinet to control this high cost.

O3b Network’s first satellites successfully in space


A space ship that blasted off this week from a small South American country that most of us probably can’t locate on a map is destined to revolutionize telecommunication and internet services for parts of the world that currently have little or no access to broadband internet. And American Samoa is on the top of the list to benefit from this novel telecommunications network.
