Fiji in Dubai 7s quarters


THE Digicel Fiji 7s side will face Scotland in the quarter-final of the Dubai 7s tournament at 8.13pm today (Fiji time).

The side finished at the top of Pool C after beating England 26-21 in their last pool match early this morning.

Fiji drew first blood via a Samisoni Viriviri try which was converted by Emosi Mulevoro.

Wales v Tonga: Andrew Coombs misses training with ‘bad back’


Coombs, capped at second-row in the Six Nations, has been selected at blind-side in the team to face Tonga in Cardiff on Friday evening.Backs coach Rob Howley reported the Dragons forward had a “bit of a bad back.””The decision was made to give him a morning off, but hopefully he’ll be available tomorrow night,” said Howley.

English crush Fijians 27-0


THE Digicel Fiji sevens side hit the rock bottom in the IRB 7s World Series again, losing to England 0-27 in its opening pool match in the London 7s at Twickenham Stadium.

The English ran riot, scoring five tries over the hapless-looking Alivereti Dere-coached side.
